The Scurry-Rosser Wildcats dropped their season opener on the road to the Italy Gladiators on Aug. 29.

The Wildcats battled hard against the Gladiators, but came up just short as they fell 31-28.

Scurry followed that up with a second loss on Friday, Sept. 5 against the Mineola Yellowjackets at home.
