Mildred Louise McMahon, 96, of Kaufman, TX went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2025.

Mildred was born on February 8, 1929, to Otto and Hattie Hester in Kennett, MO.

Mildred met Melvin McMahon as a child when the family moved to Kilgore, Texas. After Melvin returned from WWII, the two married on October 15, 1946. They were married 67 years when Melvin passed away on May 20, 2014. Mildred worked at Texas Instruments for 20 years before opening a florist with her daughter, Barbara.

In her late 80’s she completed her working career with Silver Linings, setting up the households of executives who relocated to the Dallas area. She designed, and Melvin built, 4 of the homes they lived in.

Mildred was a faithful Christian and devoted member of Kaufman First Assembly of God, which she attended for 30 years. Mildred shared her faith by copying passages of scripture which she would give to people who needed encouragement.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, and hosting family and friends for countless dinners. She was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Sister.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Barbara Allen, Stephen McMahon and wife Sherry, and Janet Shindoll and husband Ron; Sisters, Dorothy Cain and husband Bob, Sammy Keith and Betty Burden and husband Jim. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 7 great great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss her deeply.

Her parents, Otto and Hattie, husband, Melvin, brother, Kenneth Hester, grandson, David Hamby and great-great grandchild Aaron Allen preceded her in death.
