1949 - 2026

Martha Lynn Hill, 76, of Kaufman, TX passed away on May 11, 2026. Martha was born on August 28, 1949, to Lee and Ruby Doerr in Sawyer, OK. She moved to Kaufman, TX as a child and graduated from Kaufman High School. On February 28, 1968, Martha married Jesse Hill Jr., and they spent a loving 29 years together before his passing in 1997. She went to nursing school, but Jesse wanted her to stay home with their 3 children. Martha would work on the family farm, own and operated a firework stand, and own Video Palace which had 4 stores in the area. Martha would also work for Kaufman County officials, serving during elections for around 30 years. She loved being around people, always involved, visiting people she knew, and helping people. Martha went to the Kaufman Church of Christ for many years.

Martha is survived by her children Susan Moore (Mike), Jesse Willard Hill III (Daphne); grandchildren Joshua Blizzard (Brittany) Aaron Blizzard, Zachary Lovern, Nicholas Lovern, Jade Bernard (Justin), Bailey Moore (Savannah), Jayci Hill, Clayton Hill; great-grandchildren Calico Bernard, Kaylin Lovern, Dean Lovern, Sam Lovern, Alaina Blizzard and Cayden Blizzard; numerous nieces, nephews extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.

She is preceded by her husband, her parents, daughter Tammy Lovern; siblings Clara Jones, Tommie Rogers, and Jimmy Doerr.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Enhabit Hospice for taking good care of Martha and a special thank you to AVIR nursing home and rehab for their care as well. They were terrific!

In lieu of flowers and food the family has asked you to spend that money on your grandchildren, that’s what Martha would rather you do.

A memorial service to celebrate Martha’s life will be held at Parker-Ashworth Funeral home on May 30,2026 at 10:00 am.
