1946-2026
Carolyn Denese Coats, born in Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully after a life devoted to faith, family, and service.
She attended Aldine Junior High and Aldine High School and began her career as a dental assistant before working more than 20 years as a patient assistant for Dr. McAlroy. She later served 18 years as Senior Center Activity Director for the City of Humble, Texas, where she lovingly supported and enriched the lives of many seniors until her retirement.
After retiring, Carolyn moved to Crandall, Texas to be closer to her grandchildren, who were the joy of her life. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Kaufman.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents Howard Coats and Ona Ward Coats, and sister Betty Ann Smith.
Carolyn is survived by her son Michael Chris; her four grandchildren, Michael Chance, Rachel Nicole Ebarb and husband Zak, Jacob Dawson, and William Brooks; and her six great-grandchildren, CaMari, Makensie, Marcus, Jackson, Jordon, and Kelce; her sister Vickie Wilson and husband Jim.
Carolyn will be remembered for her servant’s heart, her generosity and her unwavering love for her family and community.
