The City of Terrell Fire Department, along with College Mound firefighters, Kaufman Fire Department and other agencies, battle a blazing house fire on the afternoon of Monday, June 15. Terrell FD, College Mound FD and Terrell Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to a house fire on Monday afternoon.

Kaufman County and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) are proposing to construct a new alignment in Kaufman County, connecting State Highway 205 (SH 205) to FM 148, with interchanges at US Highway 80 and 1-20 in Kaufman County.
