The Kaufman Lions baseball team finished their regular season on Friday, April 24 on the road against the Midlothian Heritage Jaguars. The Lions fell after an early three-run inning from the Jags, losing 3-2 on the road.

Competing at the 5A Area track meet in Corsicana on April 17, three student-athletes from Kaufman High School finished high enough to qualify for the Regional track meet.

The Crandall Lady Pirates softball squad locked up third place in the district with their win over the Red Oak Lady Hawks at home on Thursday, April 16. Crandall won a wild one as they outscored Red Oak 21-12 in their final regular season contest.

Kaufman team breaks 16-year-old school record

The team 4x100-meter relay team of Elijah Rose, Christian Scott, Jayden Scott and Matthew Clowers broke a Kaufman High School record at the District track meet on April 10. Their time of 41.98 seconds was good enough for sixth at the meet and broke a 2009 record of 42.23 seconds previously set by Ayron Miles, Kendall Wrenn, RJ Turner and Kailion Hughey.
