Kemp and Mabank began a new chapter of their football rivalry on Friday, Sept. 5 as the Panthers hosted the Yellowjackets for a non-district game at Panther Stadium.
The Varsity Lady Lions cross country team placed fifth at the Midlothian XC Invitational, led by Giselle Sanchez, placing fourth overall. She was followed by fellow medalists London Townsend, placing 10th.
The rains that fell across much of Texas last week were right on cue. It always seems to rain just before the opener of dove season. The dove we have been watching coming to water each day suddenly have water to drink everywhere. That pond or stock tank we planned to hunt is probably void of birds coming in for their afternoon drink. But we live in Texas and will take our rain when we get it and be thankful, right?
On Saturday, Sept. 13, DnT Photography will be hosting a first for Kaufman - an inaugural art exhibit titled, “Simply Me: Little Humans, Big Personalities.” The art exhibit is a black and white portraiture exhibit that celebrates children from the ages of two-years-old to 13-years-old and highlights the importance of building healthy self-esteem in children through the art of photography.
