Not only does Kaufman HS have a modern culinary program, but they also have a barbecue club and competition team that competes and even provides at a local level.

Clays for CASA, held at the Texas Gun Ranch in Terrell on August 15, 2025, was an outstanding success. The event brought together community supporters and clay shoot enthusiasts, all united in the common goal of supporting Lone Star CASA’s mission. All of the proceeds from this event benefit Lone Star CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) to ensure that 100 percent of children who have experienced abuse and neglect in Rockwall and Kaufman Counties have an advocate by their side.
