Kemp appoints new Police Chief

The City of Kemp announced the appointment of Curtis Kaloi as their new Chief of Police on Tuesday, June 3. The appointment was effective May 27 and Chief Kaloi takes over after the departure of Former Chief Ernie Zepada, who joined another agency.

Kaufman County student wins safe driving scholarship

The North East Texas Regional Mobility Authority (NET RMA) announced the recipients for its 5th Annual Linda Thomas Safe Driving Scholarship. The scholarship awarded $2,000 each to 10 high school seniors in NET RMA counties throughout Northeast Texas, including MaKennah Duncan from Forney High School.
