June 27: Bee-Happy is hosting an Elvis Style Bingo Night on Friday, June 27 at 6 p.m. at The Porch at First Baptist Church Kaufman.

Patty Maggard knew the importance of preparing for one’s death. But while she and her husband made their wills, it wasn’t until she attended an advance care planning class that she helped organize at her Cleburne church that Maggard learned about other important legal documents needed.

We’ve all seen it, coaches and administrators blaming others when things go wrong. Whether it’s losing a game, missing enrollment targets, being passed over for a position, or facing tough criticism, some leaders resort to pointing fingers.

In 1990, a very young Garth Brooks released the highly successful single, “Unanswered Prayers,” forever planting him on the music map. The song quickly catapulted to the top of the billboards and stayed there for months. Even some thirty- five years later, it amplifies across airwaves.

The Kaufman Chess Club had a fun night of teaching and learning to play the game of chess at the Kaufman County Library. .
