Sheriff’s Office hosting school supplies drive

news@kaufmanherald.com The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office is collecting school supplies during their 9-1-1 Cares drive running through July 25. KCSO is in need of glue sticks, folders, pencils, notebooks, erasers, liquid glue, crayons, pens, pencil bags/ boxes, tissues and scissors.

As far back as I can remember, I longed to fish the re-mote waters of a ‘fly in’ lake in Canada. As a youngster, I thumbed through the pages of out-door magazines, paying close attention to the articles pertaining to fishing for pike, walleye, and Arctic gray-ing in pristine waters for fish that had never seen a lure.

Public Affairs Officer United States Attorney’s Office Eastern District of Texas The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Texas joined the North Texas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the FBI Dallas’s North Texas Child Exploitation Task Force to announce the conclusion of Operation Soteria Shield, a monthlong collaborative enforcement effort conducted in April 2025 aimed at rescuing children from online sexual exploitation and bringing perpetrators to justice.
