Tractor Supply donates to local hometown heroes

Terrell Tractor Supply’s check presentation to the Terrell Fire Department in honor of National Hometown Heroes Day on Nov. 1. Tractor Supply celebrated National Hometown Heroes Day on Nov. 1 across all of its 2,300+ stores nationwide, and each store donated $500 to a local police, fire or veteran organization, totaling more than $1 million in a single day. In Texas, 249 Tractor Supply stores donated $124,500 to 352 local organizations.

Battle of the Badges brings out the best

The Crandall Fire Department and Crandall Police Department went head-tohead in a friendly softball game at the Crandall High School softball field on Saturday, Nov. 8. The game even featured the “Dancing Umpire” from the Savannah Bananas baseball team. There was tons of hits, catches, tags, dancing and fun on Saturday evening with Crandall Fire coming out victorious in the end. Additional photos on 2A.

Kaufman County receives donation for solar streetlights

Representative Keith Bell, CEO of Intex Electrical Contractors, Inc., joined the Kaufman County Commissioners Court as they formally accepted a generous $33,400 donation from Intex Electric. The contribution will fund the installation of six solar-powered streetlights at key intersections throughout Precinct 2.
