Kaufman students get leadership masterclass

Kaufman High School Ambassadors received a masterclass in local leadership on March 25. Recently, the group enjoyed a 'Lunch and Learn' with Mayor Jeff Jordan. The students gained first-hand insight into the responsibilities of the Mayor’s office and a deeper appreciation for the rich history of Kaufman. The momentum continued today as our ambassadors met with Stewart McGregor (Kaufman Economic Development Corporation Executive Director), Emily Golden (Marketing & Community Relations for the City of Kaufman/EDC), and Adam Wall (Kaufman Police Department Community Relations). Together, they dove into the world of economic development and public safety, discovering the diverse career paths available right here in our own backyard.

Kemp baseball falls at home to Van

The Kemp Yellowjackets varsity baseball team fell at home to the Van Vandals on Friday, April 10. After scoring an early run, Kemp’s offense dried up against Van as they dropped their district contest, 5-1.
