Multiple Scurry girls advance to Regional track meet

Body news@kaufmanherald.com The Scurry-Rosser Lady Wildcats track and field athletes competed at the Area meet in Keene on Friday, April 17. Four individual athletes and two teams will be heading to compete in the Regional competition in Huntsville on May 1 and 2.

Kaufman team breaks 16-year-old school record

Body The team 4x100-meter relay team of Elijah Rose, Christian Scott, Jayden Scott and Matthew Clowers broke a Kaufman High School record at the District track meet on April 10. Their time of 41.98 seconds was good enough for sixth at the meet and broke a 2009 record of 42.

Lady Pirates lock up third place heading to postseason

Body The Crandall Lady Pirates softball squad locked up third place in the district with their win over the Red Oak Lady Hawks at home on Thursday, April 16. Crandall won a wild one as they outscored Red Oak 21-12 in their final regular season contest.

Kemp softball falls in rivalry game to Mabank

Body The Kemp Lady Yellowjackets dropped their district rivalry game to the Mabank Lady Panthers on Friday, April 17 at home. The two teams played a long, offensively charged game that ended in a Mabank victory, 17-15.

Lady Lions roar back in rivalry games over Terrell

Body news@kaufmanherald.com The Kaufman Lady Lions roared back after falling behind early to beat the Terrell Lady Tigers on Tuesday, April 14. A late surge from Terrell wasn’t enough as the Lady Lions held on for the 10-9 victory.
