Lowe’s breaks ground in Kaufman

Lowe’s Home Improvement store broke ground at King’s Fort in Kaufman on Wednesday, July 16. On hand were Kaufman Mayor Jeff Jordan and city council members, the Kaufman EDC, Kaufman Chamber, Lowe’s representatives, construction stuff and realtors, along with members of the Kaufman Lion Band and dancers. Lone Star Baptist Church celebrates 125 years

A heartfelt celebration took place on Sunday, July 13, as the Lone Star Baptist Church in Post Oak Bend marked its 125th anniversary and the celebration of the historic cemetery designation with a day full of community, history and recognition. The grounds were filled with joyful attendees, including families, local leaders and descendants of early community members, all gathered to honor the rich legacy of the church and cemetery.
