Kemp Yellowjacket cross country athlete Arnie Perez took home third place at the Kaufman Run with the Lions Meet. Perez finished third overall and set a new personal record with a time of 16:05.

The Kaufman Lions tennis squad had an amazing week. Kaufman’s varsity squad competed in five matches including Van, Forney, North Forney, Alvarado and Midlothian Heritage. Additionally, the JV had a match against Corsicana.

The Kaufman Lions wrapped up their summer Kaufman Lion Football Camp in late July. The Lions saw 142 campers out on the field in July working on building fundamentals and competing every day.

As athletes gear up for the upcoming fall season, many have stayed active over the summer, competing in area tennis tournaments. Kaufman is a member of the East Texas Tennis Circuit, where local schools host a tournament every weekend.
