Body For decades at Lake Tawakoni, the ‘trophy’ blue catfish season began with the first cooling north winds in October and ended with the spring warm up. Fall and winter were the designated time to go hunting for a giant blue catfish.

Body The fourth week of the East Texas Tennis Circuit concluded June 14 with members of the Kaufman Tennis Team in full swing. Kaufman had a few representatives who competed in the Tyler UTR Tournament; however, the competition proved to be very stiff on the day.

Body news@kaufmanherald.com Kemp High School Fishing Team angler Connor Stevens recently competed at the Texas High School Bass Association State Tournament on Lake Conroe May 31-June 1. On day one, Stevens brough in three solid fish, weighing 11.43 lbs.

Body Once again, Kaufman tennis athletes were very busy competing in the East Texas Circuit Series. Over thirty athletes competed in the Forney ETX Tennis Tournament, which featured both singles and doubles events.

Body The annual East Texas Tennis Circuit kicked off with the Kaufman Memorial Tournament, hosted by Kaufman High School on Friday and Saturday, May 23-24. The tournament featured both singles and doubles, with participants from all over.
