Kaufman High School Ambassadors received a masterclass in local leadership on March 25. Recently, the group enjoyed a 'Lunch and Learn' with Mayor Jeff Jordan. The students gained first-hand insight into the responsibilities of the Mayor’s office and a deeper appreciation for the rich history of Kaufman. The momentum continued today as our ambassadors met with Stewart McGregor (Kaufman Economic Development Corporation Executive Director), Emily Golden (Marketing & Community Relations for the City of Kaufman/EDC), and Adam Wall (Kaufman Police Department Community Relations). Together, they dove into the world of economic development and public safety, discovering the diverse career paths available right here in our own backyard.

Luke and his good friend Larry Weishuhn, both well into their seventies, continue to enjoy the outdoor lifestyle as very active outdoorsmen but each do so in a slower, safer manner than they did as younger men. Photo by Jeff Rice
