Crandall ISD names Dr. Zelkovich as HMS Principal

Crandall ISD announced at a special board meeting on Tuesday, April 28 that Dr. Jessica Zelkovich will be the new Principal of Heartland Middle School for the 2026-27 school year. Dr. Zelkovich currently serves as an assistant principal at Heartland Middle School.

Kaufman County to seek state aid to fix City Lake dam

KAUFMAN- Kaufman County Commissioners' Court voted April 28 to approve an application for state aid to repair the dam at Cedar Creek Site 60, better known as Kaufman City Lake.
