Terrell Methodist Day School Students celebrated Texas Arbor Day with hands-on learning recently. On Nov.

Debbie Jo Charlton, 74, of Kaufman, TX passed away on November 8, 2025, at home with her family and loved ones by her side. Debbie was born on September 2, 1951, to JD and Fern Howell in Kaufman.

The Crandall Fire Department and Crandall Police Department went head-tohead in a friendly softball game at the Crandall High School softball field on Saturday, Nov. 8. The game even featured the “Dancing Umpire” from the Savannah Bananas baseball team. There was tons of hits, catches, tags, dancing and fun on Saturday evening with Crandall Fire coming out victorious in the end. Additional photos on 2A.

Kaufman County honors Veterans

The Kaufman Lady Lions varsity basketball team picked up their first win of the 2025 season over the Athens Lady Hornets at home on Tuesday, Nov. 11.

I was setting among a group of very veteran outdoorsmen at an event this past weekend and the subject of great shots made and missed while hunting through the years was brought up. Without exception, each of us had our tales.

The Kemp Yellowjackets’ varsity basketball team began their 2025-2026 season on Friday, November 14th as they hosted Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep. CRD led early at 8-2.
