Lilo’s journey to family: Lone Star CASA shares inspiring adoption story

Lone Star CASA had the joy of celebrating the adoption of 17-year-old Lilo at the Grayson County Courthouse. Lilos’s journey through foster care is one of extraordinary resilience, healing, and hope. Lilo’s path was not without setbacks, including the heartbreak of a failed adoption. Yet, with consistent guidance and encouragement, she discovered that family can be safe, supportive, and lasting.

Cooler weather = active catfish

Many people think of catching catfish as a summertime endeavor but some of the best blue catfish action begins about this of the year when water temperatures begin to fall. While the red hot ‘big fish’ trophy catching will peak in a few weeks as water temperature falls into the 60s, lots of eater size fish weighing between four and 15 pounds, with an occasional trophy class fish are currently being landed.
