news@kaufmanherald.com The Scurry-Rosser Lady Wildcats track and field athletes competed at the Area meet in Keene on Friday, April 17. Four individual athletes and two teams will be heading to compete in the Regional competition in Huntsville on May 1 and 2.

The Kemp Yellowjackets varsity baseball team fell at home to the Van Vandals on Friday, April 10. After scoring an early run, Kemp’s offense dried up against Van as they dropped their district contest, 5-1.

The Kemp Yellowjackets varsity boys’ soccer team announced their All-District honors and awards on Wednesday, April 8. Senior Ruben Alanis was named the Defensive Midfielder of the Year.

The Crandall Pirates varsity baseball team shut out the Kaufman Lions on Friday, April 10. Before the game, Crandall honored multiple First Responders, who even throughout ceremonial pitches during the pregame ceremonies.

news@kaufmanherald.com The Scurry-Rosser softball and baseball teams took down the Rice Lady Bulldogs and Bulldogs this past Friday, April 10. The Lady Wildcats took care of business on Friday in an 11-5 win over Rice before the boys finished with a 10-0 shutout win on Friday night.

news@kaufmanherald.com The Kaufman Lady Lions softball team fell on the road during their district contest against the Red Oak Lady Hawks on Thursday, April 2. A rough fourth inning sank the Lady Lions in district play as they lost, 20-5.

Kemp High School golfer Tatum Hughes advanced to the 4A Regional II Golf Tournament and will compete in Sulphur Springs from April 15-16. .
