The Kaufman County District Attorney’s Office is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Donne, its longtime service dog, who died peacefully on Sept. 4, at the age of 12.
Students and teachers from throughout D/FW will have a unique opportunity to explore careers in the automotive industry in the ideal setting, Texas Motorplex, on the morning before the track hosts day one of the Texas NHRA FallNationals on Friday October 10, 2025. The event is hosted by the 2025 NHRA Youth & Education Services (YES) Program, a nationwide initiative designed to inspire students to explore rewarding careers in the automotive industry at no cost to participants.
Scurry Rosser High School announced their 2025 Homecoming Court nominees on Friday, Sept. 12. Homecoming Queen nominees are Alexis Elliott, Preslie Goodrich, Macie Miller, Addison Upchurch and Alyssa Yates. The Homecoming King nominees are Jacob Cypert, Nash Ferguson, Mason Muncrief, Caleb Peavy and AJ Stewart. Homecoming activities will take place at halftime during their Sept. 19 game.
