Kaufman County Homestead Day draws over 500 attendees

More than 500 residents and visitors gathered at the Kaufman County Fair Grounds this past Saturday for the semi-annual Kaufman County Homestead Day and National Zebu Cattle Club Show. The event featured over 40 vendors, exhibitors, nonprofits and community partners celebrating agriculture, homesteading and rural traditions through educational demonstrations, livestock exhibits, shopping and family-friendly activities.

Plane crash injures three in Forney

Three people were injured in a plane crash in Forney in the early morning hours of Saturday, May 16. Texas Highway Patrol responded to a single-engine plane crash in a field on the southwest corner of Helms Trail and Akron Way in the city limits of Forney according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
