The Kaufman Lady Lions softball team posted a 2-3 record at the Kaitlin Siedel Memorial Softball Tournament which was hosted by Richardson Pearce High School on Feb. 23 through Feb. 25
The results of the games that the team played in this tournament are as follows:
Kaufman 13 Richardson Pearce 4.
Mesquite Poteet 3 Kaufman 2.
Lake Highlands 9 Kaufman 0.
Kaufman 8 Sunnyvale 4.
Mesquite Horn 10 Kaufman 0.
In the Richardson Pearce game, the offensive leaders for Kaufman were Abeni Nava (three hits and three RBIs), Havannah Holmes (three hits and one RBI), Kyndal Garner (two hits and one RBI), Macie Johnson (two hits and one RBI), Brianna Cordero (two hits), Kenzie Brito (one hit and one RBI), and Sadie Waters (one hit and one RBI).
In the Mesquite Poteet game, notable offensive players for Kaufman were Holmes (two hits and one RBI), Nava (one hit), Garner (one hit), Johnson (one hit), and Cordero (one hit).
Against Lake Highlands, the offensive highlights for Kaufman were produced by Johnson (one hit), and Izzy Garnica (one hit).
In the Sunnyvale game, the offensive standouts for Kaufman were Pavin Penny (two hits), Garner (two hits and one RBI), Brito (one hit and two RBIs), Nava (one hit and one RBI), Homes (one hit), and Cordero (one hit and one RBI).
In the Mesquite Horn game, the offensive production for Kaufman was provided by Garner (one hit).
After this tournament, Kaufman has an overall record of 7-5-1.
