Scurry-Rosser varsity boys opened the 2018-19 basketball season with two wins.

The Wildcats defeated Worth 66-30 on Nov. 19.

Hunter Word scored 17 points, hitting three 3-pointers.

Gunner Hill scored 16 and had four 3-pointers.

Jade Whittington also scored 16.

Scurry-Rosser beat Poetry Christian on Nov. 20, 75-23.

Whittington scored 22 points, and with eight each were Word, Hill, Jon Tillett, Jacob Holbrook and Jack Bussey.

β€œThe season is way early,” said Coach James Hill. β€œWe got off to a good start and we know it will get difficult. But the kids are excited.”
