The Kaufman Lady Lions varsity basketball team picked up two non-district victories over Greenville (46-42) and Forney High School (41-34) on Dec. 6 and Dec. 9. Both of these games were played at Kaufman High School.
With these victories, Kaufman improves to 8-6 overall on the season.
Top performers for Kaufman in the Greenville game were as follows:
Piper Wilburn: 14 points, six rebounds, and two assists.
Lillie Reven: 10 points and two blocked shots.
Kiersten Thomas: eight points and four rebounds.
Aubre Prox: seven points, five rebounds, and three assists.
Kaylee Wrenn: three points, nine rebounds, five assists, and two steals.
Key players for Kaufman in the Forney High School game were as follows:
Wrenn: 10 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
Aubre Prox: nine points, four rebounds, and three assists.
Zoey Prox: eight points and four rebounds.
Reven: eight points and five rebounds.
Wilburn: four points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals.
Kaufman will begin District 14-4A vs. Nevada Community High School on Dec. 16. This game will be played at Kaufman High School. Tip off time is set for 6:15 p.m.
