The Pumpkin Patch is open for business.

School children visiting the annual event at First United Methodist Church experience story time, a science lesson, picture time, games and a snack of pumpkin muffins. The congregation bakes 3,000 of the treats for the school visits every fall.

For families, the patch is open from 3 to 7 p.m. on weeknights, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The visit is free, with pumpkins on sale ranging in price from $1 for the mini variety up to $20 for a jumbo pumpkin.

All proceeds benefit church ministries.
