In a state with the most overall farmland and ranchland in the nation, it is important for Texas residents to teach the importance of agriculture and provide opportunities for agricultural learning and development for children. In an effort to promote the interest and welfare of agricultural youth, Kaufman County Junior Livestock Show (KCJLS) is hosting the Kaufman County Fair from Feb. 27 – March 3.

The Kaufman County Fair has a week-long schedule of events to highlight student agriculture projects throughout the county. The list of shows includes market animals, breeding animals, Ag Mechanic projects, food entries, and art/crafts and horticulture. Guests can also peruse vendors or participate in the live auction on March 3. A full schedule of events can be found at kcjls.com. KCJLS will also award three scholarships at the fair.
