Patients coming to Texas Health Kaufman Hospital will soon get an extra dose of protection – from the elements.

Work has begun on a new, covered drive-up entrance to the hospital and Emergency Department that will allow patients to be dropped off without being exposed to inclement weather.

During construction, which is expected to last about four months, patients and visitors will use a temporary entrance located between the hospital and the Medical Office Building.

At the same time, the hospital plans to replace its 45-year-old windows, giving the hospital a fresher, brighter look.
