Kaufman’s annual Red, White and Boom celebration will kick things off on July 4 with a parade at 9 a.m. on Washington Street.

After the parade, the city will host a ribbon cutting noting the grand reopening of the square following the renovation project that was recently completed.

Following these events, the festivities will move to the Sports Complex where there will be games for children starting at 12 p.m. A softball tournament will also begin at 12 p.m. followed by an ice cream challenge 1 p.m. and a corn hole tournament at 2 p.m. There will also be live music, beverages and food trucks culminating in a fireworks show at sundown.
