In an effort to request Individual Assistance from FEMA should there be a Federal Disaster Declaration the Kaufman County Office of Emergency Management is gathering information about individual losses due to the severe weather and flooding that has occurred and is continuing to occur.

The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is asking residents of Kaufman County to provide the following information to their office via email.

Name

Address

Contact Number

Email Address

Description of Damage (As brief as possible)

Homeowner Insurance Yes/No

Flood Insurance Yes/No

Estimated Cost of Damage if possible

This information should be sent to the Kaufman County Office of Emergency Management at oem@kaufmancounty.net. A release from the OEM said the information will help determine if Kaufman County will meet the FEMA threshold for obtaining the Federal Declaration. "Even if you don't need assistance please send the information so we may include it in our report."
