Kaufman County hosts community preparedness event

Dozens of community leaders of Kaufman County gathered to hear from Adam Peacocke, the co-chair of Rebuilding our Community in Sonoma County, as a part of the county’s community preparedness event on Sept. 6. Adam shared personal and practical lessons that his community learned in responding to wildfires that devastated the area in October of 2017. Pictured above are Kaufman County project manager Pam Corder, Melissa Smith from the county’s emergency management office, Adam Peacoke, Bella Peacocke, and Jake E’s Riding Round Up founder Jana Syvrud.
