Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman was recently one of 51 recipients of the TMF Hospital Quality Improvement Bronze Award.

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman has received the TMF Hospital Quality Improvement Bronze Award from the TMF Health Quality Institute. The award recognizes hospitals in Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri for quality initiatives designed to improve outcomes in patient care as well as performance in national quality measures.

“This award is a reflection of the dedication and hard work of our nurses, clinicians, technologists, and doctors on the medical staff who strive to provide exceptional care to our patients every day” Texas Health Kaufman president Patsy Youngs said. “It further highlights our continued commitment to improving quality outcomes.

As one of 51 Bronze Award recipients, Texas Health Kaufman met thresholds for 65 percent of eligible measures and demonstrated a 5 percent reduction in patient readmissions during the 2016-2017 evaluation period.

The TMF Hospital Improvement Award program is sponsored by TMF, the Arkansas Hospital Association, Oklahoma Hospital Association, Texas Hospital Association and Texas Organization of Rural and Community Hospitals. This program was established in 2004 as a non-competitive recognition program designed to identify exemplary outcomes achieved by hospitals.
