The Kaufman Lions won both varsity district baseball games last week.
Kaufman took advantage of seven Community errors to post a 7-3 district baseball win last Tuesday.
Each team had six hits.
Kaufman grabbed a 1-0 lead in the top of the first. It was still 1-0 when Kaufman struck for four runs in the fifth.
Community got on the board with three in the sixth but still trailed 6-3.
Blayze Rodriguez and Broc Milligan each had a pair of hits for the Lions. Rodriguez also drew a walk and drove in two runs. Adrian Flores walked twice.
Milligan pitched five and two-thirds for Kaufman and struck out 14. Rodriguez pitched an inning and a third.
On Friday the Lions rallied with three runs in the fourth and six in the fifth to pull away from Caddo Mills, 10-2.
Kaufman trailed 1-0 after the first inning, tied it in the second and fell behind again in the third, 2-1.
The Lions outhit Caddo Mills 8-6 and also took advantage of four errors.
Cade Currington had two of those hits.
Jacob Nalls drove in four runs and Blake Bailey and John Maldonado two each. Adrian Flores drew a pair of walks.
Dillon Jackson threw five innings, striking out two, and Flores fanned three in two innings of relief.
