Black Tie Ball raises funds for Mobile Health Outreach

Kaufman City Manager Mike Slye (center) and the rest of the 2019 Black Tie Ball committee struck a pose at the Statler Hotel on Nov. 9

For the 11th annual Black Tie Ball held on Saturday, Nov. 9, attendees celebrated the evening with a “The Best is Yet to Come” theme at the Statler Hotel.

Co-chaired by Kaufman City Manager Mike Slye and Laura Melton, proceeds from the ball will be used to support mobile health outreach and cancer screenings at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Kaufman. The event also paid special tribute to Ann Raymond for her volunteer work at the hospital through the years.

Since its inception, the ball has raised more than $500,000 for health care services at Texas Health Kaufman.
