The City of Kaufman would like to congratulate Mary Wennerstrom for completing her eight-month long program for emerging finance leaders at the North Central Texas Council of Governments.

“We believe it will be individuals like Mary that will help keep our region in the forefront of municipal leaders,” Executive Director Mike Eastland said. “It will also be progressive employers like Kaufman who continue to support ongoing training and development in our industry.”

This class served as the fifth season of developing current and future leaders in the public finance industry. It was an application/referral process whereby NCTOG selected a cohort of only 19 individuals to participate.

Over the past eight months, each individual attended at least six sessions of the eight to learn about various aspects of the industry and take deep dives into critical issues of their jobs and responsibilities as public finance officials. The classes were daylong events presented by experts in the field and facilitated by experience professionals. They were required to complete homework and actively participate in class discussions.
