Kaufman’s annual Scarecrow Festival Oct. 21-22 is adding a Friday night music event.

The street dance on the historic Kaufman Square will feature music by opening act T.J. Broscoff and from the renowned Lightcrust Doughboys of Bob Wills fame. The party starts at 7 p.m.

Saturday’s familiar lineup begins with a Fitness 5K sponsored by Kaufman Christian School at 8 a.m. followed by the traditional parade at 9 a.m. up Washington St.

There will be plenty of food, children’s games, arts and crafts, entertainment and much more music.

Saturday’s entertainers include Chip Murrey and the Texas Underground, the Wesley Pruitt Band and the Acoustic Sound Hounds.
