The First United Methodist Church of Mabank will celebrate its 23rd annual Lord’s Acre Harvest Festival on Saturday, Oct. 13 at the church, 501 South Third Street in Mabank.

The festivities will kick off with Gospel Night under the tent Thursday evening Oct. 11 at 6 p.m. The tent is set up behind the church for a great evening of singing old time gospel music.

The evening will begin with a chili supper. There are always many types of chili with chips, cornbread, cheese and other fixings.

Lord’s Acre Festival will open at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13. Children’s activities, including a bounce house, train ride and games will be from 9-noon.

The Country Store, including homemade baked goods, crafts, plants, Christmas gifts and decor will also be from 9-noon.

The silent auction including gift certificates for local businesses and travel will be from 9-noon and the live auction will be held from 1-3. 

Don’t miss the free (donations are appreciated) barbecue lunch from 11-1.

The culmination of Lord’s Acre week is the Sunday Service Under The Tent. On Sunday Oct. 14 at 10 a.m. the youth will lead a morning service.
