Cooking Well with Diabetes, a cooking school designed to help people with diabetes and anyone who prepares food for them, is planned Saturday, Jan. 19 and Feb. 16 at 10 a.m. at the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman basement conference room.

The two interactive classes are packed with research-based information and delicious diabetes-friendly recipes.

There is no charge and a special gift for attending both weeks.

Topics include recognizing carbohydrates in recipes and using sweeteners effectively, healthy fats and fat substitutes, reducing sodium and increasing fiber, and special event recipes that are healthy and delicious.
