The Kaufman city and police offices on S. Washington St. are heading south. Through the end of the week all municipal and police offices will be relocating to the county's South Campus.
The old city hall is closed Friday, Oct. 14, and city offices are expected to reopen in the new quarters on Monday, Oct. 17.
Those facilities will serve as the city's business and police offices until the former electric co-op building can be torn down and a new city hall/police station can be built on the site.
Demolition is expected sometime after Nov. 1.
The public works department is relocating to a facility on W. Grove St.
