Many older adults experience concerns about falling and restrict their activities as a result. A Matter of Balance is an award-winning program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels.

This free workshop is for anyone concerned about falls, those who may have sustained a fall in the past, or those who have restricted their activity because of falling concerns.

In the workshop, participants will learn to:

• Reduce fall hazards in the home

• Improve flexibility, balance and strength

• Improve overall health through increased activity

The course meets twice weekly for four consecutive weeks starting Tuesday, Oct. 16. Sessions are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m.-noon. Seating is limited and registration is required.

Register at texashealth.org under events or call 1-877-847-9355.

Classes will be held in at the River of Life Community Center, 300 N. Dallas in Kemp.
